The ASRock AB350M also is a 3-phase Vcore, but at least that one has a heatsink. Doubled low-side or not, I think 3 phases is getting down to the bare minimum for AM4 processors. These Zen+ 6- and 8-cores look competitive with Matisse parts at stock speeds, but draw a helluvalot of power north of 4GHz. On the A PRO, I'm almost certain that those are mediocre-to-terrible ON 4C06N, Sinopower or Nikos parts.ġ.35V is no joke. 4 Vcore phases with doubled low-side MOSFETs is enough for a stock 8-core or a stock 12-core *maybe*, but only with higher end 4C029 and a large enough heatsink.

Will definitely get some vrm heatsinks next week and hope they have the desired effect, as I don't plan on buying a new board until ryzen 5000 series and want to upgrade to a 3000 series cpu until then. Seems the 60mm fan isn't enough to stop the throttling at 4.2ghz as it was when I was overclocking with the wraith spire to 4ghz but the airflow of the air cooler likely aided it whereas I have an aio now with no airflow over the board apart from the 60mm fan now.
